5 Fort Lauderdale Neurodivergence Therapists [Now Accepting Clients]
You've spent years adapting to a world that wasn’t built for you: masking yourself, constantly scanning every room you enter, being weighed down and burnt out by the energy it takes to be out of alignment with who you are and what you need.
At Restorative by Lōmii, our trauma-specialized therapists offer neurodivergence-affirming care rooted in attunement, depth, and integrative approaches to create a customized experience for your unique brain.

What sets our practice apart from other Fort Lauderdale neurodiversity-affirming therapy providers
Flexible meeting options. We offer both in-person therapy in Fort Lauderdale plus telehealth across Florida, so you can choose the format that best fits your sensory, energetic, and scheduling needs.
Integrative somatic offerings. In addition to psychotherapy, we provide restorative yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, sound healing, and Reiki through our occupational therapist, Emmy Slaibe, OTR/L.
Affirming approach. We offer trauma-centered care that is neurodivergence-affirming, not pathologizing. We honor the protective intelligence behind your patterns rather than framing them as deficits to correct.
Private-pay model. This model allows for flexible pacing, longer sessions, and a treatment plan that isn't dictated by insurance requirements. Optional superbills are available for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Trauma & EMDR focus. Every clinician is EMDR-trained, EMDR-certified, or actively pursuing EMDRIA certification, with advanced training in complex trauma, attachment, and parts work.
Extended sessions. All weekly sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes, because meaningful processing rarely fits inside a 45-minute window. Longer sessions allow room to settle, ground, and actually move through the work.
Private, grounding environment. Ours is a boutique, sensory-aware office in Fort Lauderdale, intentionally designed to feel calm, refined, and grounding rather than clinical or fluorescent.
Intensive formats. Our flagship EMDR intensives through our parent practice, Lōmii, are an excellent fit for clients who prefer focused, multi-day work over the stop-and-start rhythm of weekly therapy.
FAQs about neurodivergence therapy
-
No. We welcome clients who are formally diagnosed, self-identified, or somewhere in the middle of exploring whether neurodivergence is part of their story. Therapy here is centered on understanding your lived experience, patterns, and goals rather than on labels. A diagnostic identity can offer useful language, but it isn't required to begin meaningful work together.
-
No. We are a therapy practice, not a diagnostic or psychological testing center. If a formal evaluation feels important to you, we're glad to share trusted referral options in South Florida or, where appropriate, for telehealth-based assessment. Our work focuses on the therapeutic process, integration, and how you live alongside your neurotype.
-
EMDR does not treat neurodivergence itself, because being neurodivergent isn't something to “fix.” What EMDR can support are the trauma layers that often accompany it: masking, chronic misattunement, bullying, late identification, burnout, and relational wounds. By reprocessing these experiences, EMDR helps ease the emotional and physiological weight your system has been carrying, creating room for regulation, clarity, and self-trust.

Intensives are often a fit when you want focused, accelerated work in a contained format, especially when weekly sessions feel too fragmented to settle into, or your schedule makes consistency difficult.
Weekly therapy offers steady, relational depth over time, which can be especially supportive for nervous system stabilization.
We can discuss which option may be the best fit for you during your introductory call.

Yes, therapy for neurodivergence is often covered by insurance, though We are a private-pay practice. We do not bill insurance directly, which allows for 90-minute sessions, flexible pacing, intensives, and personalized care that isn't constrained by insurance requirements or diagnostic gatekeeping. Clients with out-of-network benefits often submit superbills to their insurance for partial reimbursement, and we're happy to walk you through that process.
